-> Ensure that there are no persons, animals or objects in the swinging range of the controlled mechanism during operation of the garage door opener.
-> Observe the safety instructions for the original hand-held transmitter.
The programmable HomeLink replaces up to three original remote controls for operating various equipment (e.g. garage door, gate to property, alarm system).

Prerequisites for operating and programming the HomeLink:
- The ignition is switched on.
- The fog lights are switched off.
To activate the required equipment:
Press the relevant button -1, 2 or 3-. The LED -A- lights up during signal transmission.
Information
Original remote controls for garage door system cannot be taught to operate with the HomeLink in the vehicle. OR: The teaching process was confirmed, but HomeLink will not work or only works sporadically.
- Check that the battery in the original remote control for the garage door opener is new. If in doubt, change the battery and repeat the teaching process.
Operating instructions:
Always use the garage door opener in the direction of travel. Otherwise range limitations cannot be ruled out.
Before selling the vehicle, erase the programmed garage door opener signals on the keypad.
To determine whether the original remote control has a fixed or variable code, please read the instructions for the original remote control.
In the case of a standard fixed code, the LED in the roof console is permanently lit during the transmission process. No further steps are necessary for the operation of compatible systems.
If the system set is not activated by the garage door opener control unit, this may be because the original remote control has a variable code.
