WM 508719 Removing and installing cowl panel cover

Removing cowl panel cover

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Remove lid seal at the back. -> 553319 Removing and installing seal for front lid - section on "Removing"
3. Remove front wiper arms. -> 922519 Removing and installing wiper arm - section on "Removing"
4. Remove right section of cowl panel cover -1-.
4.1. Open fixing clips -2- by turning them 90° -arrow A-.
4.2. Lift up section of cover at the front edge and remove it -arrow B-.

5. Open fixing clips -2- for cowl panel cover -1- by turning them 90° -arrow-.

6. Remove cowl panel cover.
6.1. Carefully unclip the cowl panel cover -1- at the rear edge using a plastic wedge -arrow A-.
6.2. Remove cowl panel cover -arrow B-.

Installing cowl panel cover

1. Insert cowl panel cover into the plenum panel and align it.
2. Engage locking lug -3- on cowl panel cover into the retaining strip on the windscreen -4-.

3. Press locking lugs -2- for the cowl panel cover -1- into the retaining clips underneath.

4. Place section of cowl panel cover in installation position.
4.1. Fit section of cowl panel cover -1- into the cowl panel cover -arrow A- from outside.
4.2. Press section of cowl panel cover down at the front edge -arrow B- until the locking lug on the section engages in the clip -5-.

5. Press in fixing clips -2- for section of cowl panel cover -1- and lock into place.

6. Install lid seal at the back. -> 553319 Removing and installing seal for front lid - section on "Installing"
7. Install front wiper arms. -> 922519 Removing and installing wiper arm - section on "Installing"
