Fault Symptom 1

EDU Diagnostic Trouble Codes:

46322 Sensor, open circuit.

Action

1 Unplug the temperature sensor connector. Check the leads by measuring the voltage on pin 1 of the connector (5v). If no voltage is present, check pin 35 of the 39-pin connector when it is plugged into the EDU control module.

2 If no voltage is present, try another EDU that is known to be OK.

3 If voltage is present, unplug the 39-pin connector and check the lead between pin 35 and pin 1 of the sensor.

4 With the ignition switched off and the 39-pin connector unplugged, check the ground lead between pins 2 and 28 for continuity.

5 With the connector unplugged, check the resistance of the outside temperature sensor. The resistance varies with the temperature.

Minimum Maximum
(k/ohms) (k/ohms)

± 0°C 5,8 6,2
+ 10°C 3,8 4,1
+ 20°C 2,5 2,8
+ 30°C 1,7 1,9

6 If the resistance is correct and the wiring intact, try another EDU control module that is known to be OK.

7 Clear the diagnostic trouble codes in the ACC unit.
