Inflatable Restraint Vehicle Rollover Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to SIR Warning (SIR Warning).

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).




2. Fold back the rear carpet in order to gain access to the sensor. Refer to Rear Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Rear Floor Panel Carpet Replacement).
3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
4. Remove the nuts securing the rollover sensor to the floor panel.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the nuts securing the rollover sensor to the floor panel.
Tighten the screws to 10 Nm (88 in. lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connectors.
3. Install the rear carpet. Refer to Rear Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Rear Floor Panel Carpet Replacement).
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
