Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Right

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover


Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seats. Refer toSeat Replacement - Rear (Seat Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
2. Remove the back body pillar trim. Refer toFinish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim (Finish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim) .
3. Remove the body side upper trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper (Trim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper) .




4. Remove the cup holder from the rear quarter trim.
5. Remove the rear accessory panel, for the left side quarter panel.
6. Remove the seat belt retractor retainer bolt. Refer toSeat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (LWB w/RPO E59) Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (SWB) in Seat Belts.
7. Remove the upper cargo net retainers.
8. Remove the liftgate sill plate. Refer toDoor Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate (Service and Repair) .




9. Remove the rear quarter trim panel retainers usingJ 38778 .
10. Remove the rear quarter trim panel from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install rear quarter trim panel to vehicle.
2. Install the rear quarter trim retainers by aligning the retainer with the holes and then pushing the retainers to secure.
3. Install the upper cargo net retainers.
4. Install the liftgate sill plate. Refer toDoor Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the seat belt retractor retaining bolt. Refer toSeat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (LWB w/RPO E59) Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (SWB) in Seat Belts.
6. Install the rear accessory panel, for the left side quarter panel.




7. Install the cup holder to the rear quarter trim.
8. Install the body side upper trim panel.
9. Install the back body pillar trim.
10. Install the rear seats.
