Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the windshield trim seal (1).
2. Remove the wiper arms (2).

* Remove the 2 covers.
* Remove the 2 nuts.
* Remove the 2 washers.
* Remove the 2 windshield wiper arms from the shaft.





3. Remove the windshield air inlet screen (1).

* Lift the windshield air inlet screen at the front.

Important: Carefully release the clips from the air inlet screen.


* Release the 5 clips (3).
* Remove the hose for the windshield washer/wiper nozzle (2).





4. Remove the wiper system module.

* Remove the 3 bolts (1).
* Disconnect the wiring harness plug (2).




Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

1. Install the wiper system module.

Tighten the 3 bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

2. Connect the wiring harness plug.
3. Install the windshield air inlet screen.

* Install the hose for the windshield nozzle.
* Install the 5 clips.

4. Install the windshield wiper arms.


Important: Ensure correct installation position of the windshield wiper arms.


* Place the 2 windshield wiper arms on the shaft.
* Install the 2 washers.

Tighten the 2 nuts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

* Install the 2 covers.

5. Install the windshield trim seal.
6. Adjust the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Adjustment (Adjustments) .
