Coolant Heater Replacement

Coolant Heater Replacement (LY7 - Gas, 6 Cyl, 3.6L, SFI, V6, Alum, 60 Degrees)

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair).
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals).
4. Disconnect the coolant heater cord from the coolant heater.




5. Remove the coolant heater.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the coolant heater.
2. Connect the coolant heater cord to the coolant heater.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair).
