DESCRIPTION

If the sliding function and tilt function do not operate, there may be a malfunction in the sliding roof ECU power source circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly is removed and reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly must be initialized Programming and Relearning.
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (IGNITION SWITCH SIGNAL)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Data List.

(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

OK:

The Techstream displays as shown in the table according to the operation of each switch.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR - BATTERY, IG1 RELAY AND BODY GROUND)

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF ECU) Disassembly (from 10/2010)

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR - BATTERY, IG1 RELAY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the J3 sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
