P0601

AV: DTC P0601 - INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE MEMORY CHECK SUM ERROR

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
- Two consecutive driving cycles with fault

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
- Engine does not start.
- Engine stalls.

CAUTION: After repair or replacement of faulty parts, conduct CLEAR MEMORY MODE and INSPECTION MODE. Refer to How to Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

10AV1: CHECK ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY

CHECK: Does the Subaru Select Monitor or OBD-II general scan tool indicate DTC P0601?

YES: Replace ECM.

NO: It is not necessary to inspect DTC P0601.
