P1702
CY: DTC P1702 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DIAGNOSIS INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT LOW INPUTDTC DETECTING CONDITION:
- Two consecutive driving cycles with fault
CAUTION: After repair or replacement of faulty parts, conduct CLEAR MEMORY MODE and INSPECTION MODE. Refer to How to Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
WIRING DIAGRAM
10CY1: CHECK TRANSMISSION TYPE.
CHECK: Is transmission type AT?
YES: Go to step 10CY2.
NO: Check AT/MT identification circuit.
10CY2: CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND TCM CONNECTOR.
1. Turn ignition switch to ON.
Connector & Terminal (B135) No.4 (+) - Chassis Ground (-):
2. Measure voltage between ECM and chassis ground.
CHECK: Is the voltage less than 1 V?
YES: Go to step 10CY3.
NO: Even if MIL lights up, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time.
NOTE:
In this case, repair the following:
- Poor contact in ECM connector
- Poor contact in TCM connector
10CY3: CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND TCM CONNECTOR.
1. Turn ignition switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect connector from ECM and TCM.
Connector & Terminal (B135) No.4 - Chassis Ground:
3. Measure resistance of harness between ECM and chassis ground.
CHECK: Is the resistance less than 10 ohm?
YES: Repair ground short circuit in harness between ECM and TCM connector.
NO: Go to step 10CY4.
10CY4: CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL FOR ECM.
1. Connect connector to ECM.
2. Turn ignition switch to ON.
Connector & Terminal (B135) No.4 (+) - Chassis Ground (-):
3. Measure voltage between ECM and chassis ground.
CHECK: Is the voltage more than 5 V?
YES: Replace TCM.
NO: Repair poor contact in ECM connector.
