Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Checking/clearing diagnostic codes1. Read the diagnosis codes (Main body ECM (network gateway computer)).
(1) Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3 and turn the ignition to IG ON.
(2) Through the SSM3 display, select [Each System Check]->[Keyless Access System]->[Collation ECM]->[Diagnostic Code(s) Display] to check the diagnosis codes.
2. Read the diagnosis codes (Smart key computer ASSY (collation ECM)).
(1) Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3 and turn the ignition to IG ON.
(2) Through the SSM3 display, select [Each System Check]->[Keyless Access System]->[Collation ECM]->[Diagnostic Code(s) Display] to check the diagnosis codes.
CAUTION:
^ As the steering lock actuator ASSY (Steering lock ECM) does not store past diagnostics, when diagnosis codes are output, do not turn the ignition to IG OFF or perform any deletions until diagnosis code checking and recording is completely finished.
^ As there may be storage of diagnosis codes that were initiated due to trouble with a system other than with the steering lock actuator ASSY (steering lock ECM) system, please also check and record diagnosis codes for other systems.
3. Delete recorded diagnosis codes.
(1) Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3 and turn the ignition to IG ON.
(2) Select [Deletion] from the SSM3 [Clear Memory] screen and follow the on-screen procedure to delete diagnosis codes.
