DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

WARNING:
- When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
- Road test should be carried out with 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.





TROUBLESHOOTING

NOTE: Troubleshoot DTC P0122 or 123 first when either one was displayed together with DTC P0121.

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TP SENSOR)

Inspection
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery and coupler from TP sensor.








2) Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals under each condition given in table above.
If idle switch check result is not satisfactory, adjust installation angle of TP sensor and if found defective in the other check, replace TP sensor.
3) Connect TP sensor coupler securely.
4) Connect negative cable to battery.
