C1255/C1256: EBCM Internal Malfunction (ABS Disabled/Functional)

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This DTC identifies a possible malfunction within EBCM.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
^ DTC C1255 or C1256 will set when a possible internal component/microprocessor problem may exist.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
DTC C1255
^ ABS relay open, removing power from pump motor and the solenoids.
^ DTC C1255 is stored.
^ ABS is disabled, ABS warning light turns on.
^ DTC C1256 is stored.
DTC C1256
^ ABS remains functional.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
^ Repair low voltage, driveability, or other electrical complaints first, prior to performing DTC C1255 or C1256 trouble table.
^ Make sure the integrity of the connection between EBCM and BPMV is secure, tight and free of corrosion, leaks and/or damage.
