DTC C1237: High System Voltage






Circuit Description
This circuit is used to monitor voltage level available to EBCM. If voltage rises above a certain level, damage to system may occur.

DTC Detecting Condition
DTC C1237 can only be set if vehicles speed is greater than 8 km/h (5 mph), if voltage supplied to terminals E136-1 and/or E136-2 is greater than 17 volts for 1 second.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
- ABS relay opens, removing voltage from solenoids and pump motor.
- DTC C1237 is stored.
- ABS disabled, ABS warning light turns on.

Diagnostic Aids
Typical causes for DTC C1237 to set.
- Charging system malfunction.
- Poor connection.
- EBCM malfunction.
