DTC C1255: EBCM Internal Malfunction (ABS Disabled/Functional)






Circuit Description
This DTC identifies a possible malfunction within EBCM.

DTC Detecting Condition
DTC C1255 or C1256 will set when a possible internal component/microprocessor problem may exist.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
DTC C1255
- ABS relay open, removing power from pump motor and the solenoids.
- DTC C1255 is stored.
- ABS is disabled, ABS warning light turns on.
- DTC C1256 is stored.
DTC C1256
- ABS remains functional.

Diagnostic Aids
- Repair low voltage, driveability, or other electrical complaints first, prior to performing DTC C1255 or C1256 trouble table
- Make sure the integrity of the connection between EBCM and BPMV is secure, tight and free of corrosion, leaks and/or damage.
