DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING:
- When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
- Road test should be carried out by 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.

NOTE:
- Make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this procedure.
- Battery voltage > 10.5 V

- ECM calculates the average of measured HO2S-2 voltage shifting time in diagnosing of HO2S-2 response up to 1 time per 1 driving cycle.
- ECM calculates the average of measured HO2S-2 voltage shifting time in diagnosing of HO2S-2 response based on the last 6 measurements.
- The past measurements are deleted when the DTC is cleared or the battery is disconnected.
- In case that the past measurements are deleted, it is necessary to perform the DTC confirmation procedure at least 6 driving cycles in order to complete the diagnosing of HO2S-2 response.

1. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
2. Drive vehicle at 60 - 80 km/h (37 - 50 mile/h) for 1 min. or more. (Keep throttle valve opening constant in this step.)
3. Release accelerator pedal, and keep vehicle coasting for 10 sec. in engine braking condition. (fuel cut)
4. Repeat above step 2) and 3) for 6 times.
