DTC Confirmation Procedure
WARNING:
- When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
- Road test should be carried out by 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.
NOTE:
- If DTC other than aimed DTC are previously detected in DTC confirmation procedure, be sure to troubleshoot DTC previously detected.
- Check to make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this procedure.
- ECT > 40 °C (104 °F)
1. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
2. Shift selector lever to 3rd range, and drive vehicle at 40 - 50 km/h (25 - 31 mile/h) for 3 min. (Keep throttle valve opening constant and engine speed 2,000 rpm or more in this step.)
