DTC Confirmation Procedure
WARNING:
- When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
- Road test should be carried out by 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.
P0133 / P0153
NOTE:
- If DTC other than aimed DTC are previously detected in DTC confirmation procedure, be sure to troubleshoot DTC previously detected.
- Make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this procedure.
- -10.7 V < Battery voltage < 18.1 V
1. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
2. Drive vehicle at 60 - 80 km/h (37 - 50 mile/h) for 5 min. or more. (Keep throttle valve opening constant in this step.)
3. Run engine at idle speed for 5 min.
P0134 / P0154
NOTE:
- If DTC other than aimed DTC are previously detected in DTC confirmation procedure, be sure to troubleshoot DTC previously detected.
- Make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this procedure.
- Battery voltage > 10.5 V
1. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
2. Drive vehicle at 60 - 80 km/h (37 - 50 mile/h) for 3 min. or more (Keep throttle valve opening constant in this step.)
3. Run engine at idle speed for 1 min.
P0140 / P0160
NOTE:
Make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this procedure.
- Battery voltage > 10.5 V
1. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
2. Drive vehicle at 60 - 80 km/h (37 - 50 mile/h) constantly for 3 min. or more. (Keep throttle valve opening constant and keep engine speed at 2,500 rpm, or less in this step.)
3. Run engine at idle speed for 1 min.

NOTE:
Make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this procedure.
- Battery voltage > 10.5 V
1. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
2. Drive vehicle at 60 - 80 km/h (37 - 50 mile/h) constantly for 1 min. or more. (Keep throttle valve opening constant in this step.)
3. Release accelerator pedal, and keep vehicle coasting for 10 sec. with engine braking applied. (fuel cut condition)
4. Run engine at 3,000 - 4,000 rpm for 3 min.
5. Run engine at idle speed for 1 min.
