DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE:
If DTCs other than aimed DTC are previously detected in DTC confirmation procedure, be sure to troubleshoot DTC previously detected.
1) Run engine at idle speed for 1 min.
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. CKP sensor circuit check
Check CKP sensor circuit referring to Step 3 through 4 of P0335 DTC P0335.
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
3. CMP sensor circuit check
Check CMP sensor circuit referring to Step 3 through 4 of P0340 DTC P0340.
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4. CKP sensor and sensor plate check
Check CKP sensor and sensor plate.
- CKP sensor: CKP (Crankshaft Position) Sensor Inspection
- Sensor plate: Sensor Plate Inspection
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 5.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts.
5. CMP sensor and signal rotor check
Check CMP sensor and signal rotor. CMP (Camshaft Position) Sensor Inspection
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 6.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts.
6. Valve timing check
Check valve timing. Timing Chain and Chain Tensioner Removal and Installation
Is it in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.
NO -
Adjust valve timing.
