CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This sensor is a pulse generator type that detects revolution of the forward clutch drum (Input shaft) in the transmission case. The principle of operation is the same as the vehicle speed sensor but Transmission Control Module detects the revolution speed inputted to the transmission based on the signal from this sensor.





DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Oscilloscope waveforms
- Connect oscilloscope between terminals E25-11 (+) and E25-3 (-) of TCM connector connected to TCM and check forward clutch cylinder revolution sensor signal.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

WARNING:
- When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
- Road test should be carried out with 2 persons, a driver and a tester.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Clear DTC stored in TCM and ECM.
3. Drive vehicle at 20 mph, 30 km/h or more for longer than 30 sec.
4. Stop vehicle.
5. Check DTC and pending DTC.





INSPECTION
