WIRING DIAGRAM

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
TCM monitors operation (engagement condition) of TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) in response to ON/OFF command to the TCC solenoid by using engine speed signal and A/T input speed sensor (forward clutch cylinder revolution speed sensor) signal. Refer to TCC lock-up diagram for lock-up condition.





DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

WARNING:
- When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
- Road test should be carried out with 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.


1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Clear DTC stored in TCM and ECM.
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Turn O/D cut switch ON. ("O/D OFF" lamp lights)
5. Shift selector lever to "D" range and keep it for 20 sec. or longer.
6. Run vehicle for more than 10 sec. with 3rd gear in "0" range, more than 10% throttle opening and at vehicle speed of 15 mph - 30 mph, 25 km/h - 45 km/h.
7. Turn O/D cut switch OFF. ("O/D OFF" lamp comes OFF.)
8. Run vehicle with 4th gear in "0" range (with less than 40% throttle opening and at vehicle speed of 45 mph, 75 km/h or more) for about 10 sec.
9. Stop vehicle and turn ignition switch OFF.
10. Repeat above steps 3 to 8.
11. Stop vehicle and check DTC.
