Wiring Diagram:

Wiring Diagram

CAUTION:
- Be sure to perform Air Bag Diagnostic System Check: Advanced Air Bag before starting diagnosis according to flow.
- When measurement of resistance or voltage is required in this flow, use a tester along with a correct terminal adapter from special tool (Connector test adapter kit).
- When a check for proper connection is required, refer to Inspection of Intermittent and Poor Connections: Advanced Air Bag.
- If there is open circuit in air bag wire harness, connector or terminal is found damaged, replace the wire harness, connector and terminal as an assembly.

DTC Will Set when
The voltage measured at weight sensor power supply circuit is out of specification for specified time.

Flow Test Description
Step 1: Check for DTC.
Step 2: Check for short circuit between weight sensor circuit and power supply circuit in sensor ground circuit.
Step 3: Check for short circuit between weight sensor circuit and ground in sensor ground circuit.
Step 4: Check for high resistance or open wire in sensor ground circuit.
Step 5: Check for short circuit between weight sensor circuit and power supply circuit in sensor power supply circuit.
Step 6: Check for short circuit between weight sensor circuit and ground in sensor power supply circuit.

DTC Troubleshooting

NOTE: Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs referring to DTC Clearance for SDM: Advanced Air Bag and DTC Clearance for OCM: Advanced Air Bag, if any.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check: Advanced Air Bag to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
- Perform occupant classification system rezeroing referring to Occupant Classification System Rezeroing: Advanced Air Bag.
- Perform occupant classification system sensitivity check referring to Occupant Classification System Sensitivity Check: Advanced Air Bag after system rezeroing.
