DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: Check to make sure that following conditions are satisfied when using this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
^ Intake air temperature: Between 4.4 °C (40 °F) and 50 °C (122 °F)
^ Engine coolant temperature: Between 4.4 °C (40 °F) and 45 °C (113 °F)
^ Fuel level: 85% or less
^ Altitude (barometric pressure): 2400 m, 8000 ft or less (560 mmHg, 75 kPa or more)
^ The following DTCs are not detected: DTCs related to EVAP leak pressure sensor, EVAP leak detection pump, EVAP vent valve and EVAP canister purge valve.

1. With ignition switch OFF, connect scan tool.
2. Turn ON ignition switch and clear DTC using scan tool.
3. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
4. Increase vehicle speed to 25 mph (40 km/h) or more.
5. Keep above vehicle speed for 15 min.
6. Confirm that any DTC are not detected.
7. Turn ignition switch OFF and leave for 6 hours.
8. Check DTC and pending DTC.
