Differential Side Oil Seal Replacement

1) Lift up vehicle and drain transaxle oil. Removal and Replacement
2) Remove following parts.
- Front Drive Shaft: Removal and Replacement
- Center shaft (2WD model): Removal and Replacement
3) Remove oil seal (1) using special tool.
Special Tool

(A): 09913-50121





4) Install a new oil seal (1) to specified position using special tool.

NOTE:
- When installing oil seal, face its spring side inward.
- Confirm oil seal horizontally to surface of case after installing oil seal.

Distance between case and left oil seal, for 2WD model / 4WD model
"a": 1.0 - 2.0 mm (0.04 - 0.07 in.)

Distance between case and right oil seal for 2WD model
"b": 8.5 - 9.5 mm (0.34 - 0.37 in.)

5) Apply grease to oil seal lip and at the same time check drive shaft where oil seal contacts and make sure of its smoothness.

"A" Grease: 99000-25011 (SUZUKI Super Grease A)





6) Install following parts.
- Front Drive Shaft: Removal and Replacement
- Center shaft (2WD model): Removal and Replacement
7) Pour transaxle oil. Removal and Replacement
