Removal and Replacement
Manual Transaxle Oil Change
1) Before changing oil, be sure to stop engine and lift vehicle horizontally.
2) With vehicle lifted up, check leakage.
If leakage exists, correct it.
NOTE:
Whenever vehicle is hoisted for any other service work than oil change, also be sure to check for oil leakage.
3) Remove left side engine under cover.
4) Remove transaxle oil level / filler plug (2) and gasket.
5) Remove transaxle oil drain plug (1) and gasket, and drain old oil.
6) Install transaxle oil drain plug (1) with new gasket, and then tighten it to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Transaxle oil drain plug (a): 35 Nm (3.6 kgf-m, 26.0 lbf-ft)
7) Pour new specified oil until a little oil flow from oil level / filler plug hole (3).
NOTE:
It is highly recommended to use "SUZUKI GEAR OIL 75W-80".

: SUZUKI GEAR OIL 99000-22B21-036
: API GL-4 (For SAE classification, refer to viscosity chart [A] in figure.)
Manual transaxle oil capacity
Reference: 2.5 liters (5.28/4.40 US/Imp pt.)
8) Install transaxle oil level / filler plug with new gasket, and then tighten it to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Transaxle oil level / filler plug (b): 27 Nm (2.8 kgf-m, 20.0 lbf-ft)
