CVT Basic Check

This check is important for troubleshooting when TCM has detected no DTC and no abnormality has been noted in Visual Inspection Visual Inspection. Follow the flow carefully.
1.
Was "CVT System Check" preformed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to CVT System Check CVT System Check.

2. Stall test

Perform stall test. Stall Test

Is it OK?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts, and go to Step 6.

3. Time lag test

Perform time lag test. Time Lag Test

Is it OK?
YES -
Go to Step 5.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts, and go to Step 6.

4. Line pressure test

Perform line pressure test. Line Pressure Test

Is it OK?
YES -
Go to Step 6.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts, and go to Step 6.

5. CVT symptom diagnosis

Is trouble symptom identified?
YES -
Refer to items in CVT Symptom Diagnosis CVT Symptom Diagnosis
, repair or replace defective parts.
NO -
Go to Step 6.

6. Road test

Perform road test. Road Test

Is it OK?
YES -
CVT system is in good condition.
NO -
Return to Step 1.
