EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. REMOVE EGR VALVE
2. REMOVE EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
3. INSPECT EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR





- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Resistance:
At 50°C (122°F): 64 - 97 kohms
At 100°C (212°F): 11 - 16 kohms
At 150°C (302°F): 2 - 4 kohms

- If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
4. REINSTALL EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
5. REINSTALL EGR VALVE
