DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU monitors the connection status of the No.1 circuit breaker sensor signal (collision signal) line. If the ECU detects a malfunction, it will alert the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (VOLTAGE CHECK)
(a) Turn the power switch on (IG).





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- CHECK NO. 1 CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CLEAR DTC (HV)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(c) Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
(a) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(b) Check if DTCs are output.

B -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
A -- REPAIR HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
4. CHECK NO. 1 CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Disconnect the No. 1 circuit breaker sensor connector.





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE NO.1 CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
