3MZ-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT






(a) Install the 2 lower radiator supports.
2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION






(a) Install the 2 radiator support cushions.
3. INSTALL FAN ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR






(a) Put in the fan assembly with motor to the radiator assembly.
(b) Install the fan assembly with motor with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 7.8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 69 in-lbf)






(c) Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator assembly.
4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY AND FAN ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR






(a) Install the radiator assembly and fan assembly with motor.
5. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the cooler condenser assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)






(b) Connect the the 3 water hose clamps to the fan shroud.
6. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
(b) Install the discharge hose bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
(c) Attach the 3 hood lock control cable clamps to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

9. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

10. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

11. CONNECT COOLING FAN ECU CONNECTOR






(a) Connect the 2 cooling fan ECU connectors.
(b) Attach the 7 wire harness clamps to the fan shroud.
12. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE






(a) Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator.
13. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE






(a) Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator.
14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

15. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

16. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) Service and Repair

17. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) Testing and Inspection

18. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
