Removal








SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION
CAUTION: Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for Manual Seat)
CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Repair Instruction - Initialization

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

4. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Manual Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

5. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Manual Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Manual Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

9. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Power Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

10. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Power Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

11. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Power Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

12. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Power Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)

14. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU






(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the occupant classification ECU.
(b) Disengage the claw and remove the occupant classification ECU.
