DESCRIPTION

The Multiplex network body ECU controls the DRL No.2 relay.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Active Test.
(e) Check the operation.

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT DRL NO.2 RELAY





(a) Inspect DRL No.2 Relay continuity.
Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE DRL NO.2 RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE)





(a) Disconnect the connector from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Reconnect the connector to the instrument panel junction block assembly.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage:






NG -- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT RELAY (DRL NO.3, DRL NO.4)





(a) Inspect DRL NO.4 Relay continuity.
Resistance:










(b) Inspect DRL NO.3 Relay continuity.
Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. INSPECT DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RESISTER





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RESISTER
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
