DESCRIPTION

The Multiplex network body ECU controls HEAD relay when signal is received from headlight dimmer switch assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Active Test.
(e) Check the operation.

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT RELAY





(a) Inspect headlight relay continuity.
Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Measure voltage between the terminal as shown in the chart below.

NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
