Ignition Switch Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The Multiplex network body ECU receives the ACC and IG signals from the ignition switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Data List.
(e) Read the display on the Techstream.
Body
OK:
Normal conditions listed above are displayed.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FUSE
(a) Inspect the ECU ACC fuse, ECU-IG fuse and AM1 fuse in instrument panel junction block assembly.
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT RELAY
(a) Inspect ACC relay continuity.
Resistance:
(b) Inspect IG1 relay continuity.
Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Measure the voltage between the terminals as shown in the chart below.
Voltage:
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Measure voltage between the terminal 1A-1 of the instrument panel junction block assembly and body ground.
Voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Measure voltage between the terminal 1H-10 of the instrument panel junction block assembly and body ground.
Voltage:
NG -- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
