2TR-FE COOLING: WATER PUMP:

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new gasket, then install the water pump with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) for bolt A
Torque: 9 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf) for bolt B
2. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY





(a) Provisionally install the V-ribbed belt tensioner with bolts A and B.
(b) Tighten bolt B.
Torque: 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf)
(c) Tighten bolt A.
Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)
(d) Check that the bolt holes of the V-ribbed belt tensioner and timing chain cover are aligned, and install bolt C.





(e) Tighten bolt C.
Torque: 43 Nm (434 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
3. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (Service and Repair)

4. INSTALL FAN SHROUD (Installation)

5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH (Installation)

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (Service and Repair)

8. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE (Testing and Inspection)

9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Pre Runner and 4WD Type)
(a) Install the engine under cover No. 1 with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)
