C1336
BRAKE CONTROL: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1336/39: Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone
DTC C1336/39 - Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone
DESCRIPTION
A new skid control ECU is supplied without zero point calibration for the deceleration sensor and master cylinder pressure sensor. Until the zero points are calibrated, DTC C1336/39 remains stored. By entering test mode, the zero point calibration is automatically performed, and DTC C1336/39 is erased automatically.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: When replacing the VSC actuator assembly, perform the zero point calibration (Programming and Relearning).
HINT: When U0123/62, U0124/69 or U0126/63 is output together with C1336/39, inspect and repair trouble areas indicated by U0123/62, U0124/69 or U0126/63 first.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SENSOR USING TEST MODE PROCEDURE
(a) Perform the test mode procedure (Test Mode Procedure).
(b) Check if any of the test mode DTCs are recorded.
Result
B -- REPAIR SENSORS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK YAW RATE SENSOR INSTALLATION
(a) Check that the yaw rate sensor has been installed properly (Installation).
OK:
The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.
The sensor is not tilted.
NG -- INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR CORRECTLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. PERFORM DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
(a) Perform zero point calibration of the deceleration sensor (Programming and Relearning).
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTC (Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes).
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Check if the same DTC is recorded (Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes).
Result
HINT:
- The DTC is set if the zero point calibration has not been completed successfully.
- End the procedure when the same DTC is not set after completion of the zero point calibration.
B -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
A -- REPLACE VSC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
