DTC C1340/47 - Center Differential Lock Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the center differential is locked, VSC control turns off and the VSC OFF indicator light illuminates.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTE: When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - 4WD CONTROL ECU - TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR)




(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU and 4WD control ECU connectors.
(b) Disconnect the transfer shift actuator connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT 4WD CONTROL ECU




(a) Connect the 4WD control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:





NG -- REPLACE 4WD CONTROL ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR
(a) Connect the transfer shift actuator connector.




(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:





NG -- REPLACE TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR
OK -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID
