DTC C2171/71 - Transmitter ID not Registered

DESCRIPTION

The transmitter IDs of each tire pressure warning valve and transmitter are registered to the tire pressure warning ECU.
When the IDs have never been registered, a DTC is stored.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
- When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the transmitter IDs stored in the old ECU using the Techstream and note them down before removal.
- It is necessary to perform initialization Initialization after registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU after the ECU has been replaced.

PROCEDURE

1. CONFIRM REGISTRATION CONDITION (REGISTERED TRANSMITTER IDS)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.
(e) Check the values by referring to the table below.

2. PERFORM REGISTRATION (TRANSMITTER ID)
(a) Register the transmitter IDs for all 4 tires Registration.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Initialization.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CONFIRM TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE (DATA LIST)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.
(e) Check the values by referring to the table below.

HINT:
- *: It may take about 5 to 6 minutes until the values are displayed.
- When no "ID Tire Inflation Pressure" has changed, rotate the tire 90 to 270°. Then recheck it.
