Installation

AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR (for 2GR-FE): INSTALLATION

1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for TMC Made)

(a) Temporarily install the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolts.

HINT
Temporarily tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (except TMC Made)

(a) Temporarily install the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolts.

HINT
Temporarily tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

3. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for TMC Made)

(a) Install the compressor and magnetic clutch with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the compressor and magnetic clutch.

(b) Engage each clamp.

(e) Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (except TMC Made)

(a) Install the compressor and magnetic clutch with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the compressor and magnetic clutch.

(b) Engage each clamp.

(e) Connect the connector.

5. CONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.

(b) Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.

Compressor oil:

ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(c) Install the O-ring onto the suction hose sub-assembly.

(d) Install the suction hose sub-assembly onto the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

6. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.

(b) Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.

Compressor oil:

ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(c) Install the O-ring onto the discharge hose sub-assembly.

(d) Install the discharge hose sub-assembly onto the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

7. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY AND FAN ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR Installation

10. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) Installation

11. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) Installation

12. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE Installation

13. CONNECT COOLING FAN ECU CONNECTOR Installation

14. CONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE Installation

15. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE Installation

16. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE Installation

17. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

18. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

19. INSTALL BATTERY Installation

20. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

21. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT Installation

22. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT Service and Repair

23. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

24. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH Installation

25. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH Installation

26. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

27. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH Installation

28. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair

29. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair

30. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection

31. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID
