DESCRIPTION
* When the ECM detects a cruise control switch on signal from the cruise control switch, it sends it to the combination meter through CAN communication. Then the SET indicator light turns on.
* The SET indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SET INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Select the item below in the Active Test, and then check that the SET indicator light illuminates Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
Combination Meter
OK:
Indicator light turns on/off.
NG -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the cruise control switch is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

On screen, item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
