The main body ECU detects the condition of each door courtesy switch.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List /
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

B -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE)

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE)
(a) Inspect the front door courtesy switch (driver side) Front Door Courtesy Switch.
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE) - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the J1 front door courtesy switch (driver side) connector.
(b) Disconnect the E7 main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
(e) Reconnect the front door courtesy switch (driver side) connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
4. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH (PASSENGER SIDE)
(a) Inspect the front door courtesy switch (passenger side) Front Door Courtesy Switch.
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH (PASSENGER SIDE) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH (PASSENGER SIDE) - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the I1 front door courtesy switch (passenger side) connector.
(b) Disconnect the E7 main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
(e) Reconnect the front door courtesy switch (passenger side) connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
6. INSPECT ACCESS PANEL LOCK ASSEMBLY (REAR DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Inspect the access panel lower lock assembly LH and RH Rear Door Courtesy Switch (For Lower Side).
(b) Inspect the access panel upper lock assembly LH and RH Rear Door Courtesy Switch (For Upper Side).
Result
C -- REPLACE ACCESS PANEL UPPER LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal
B -- REPLACE ACCESS PANEL LOWER LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal
A -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACCESS PANEL LOCK ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the J2, J3, I2 and I3 access panel lock assembly connectors.
(b) Disconnect the E7 main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
LH Side
RH Side
(d) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
(e) Reconnect the access panel lock assembly connectors.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
8. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check if a BEAN communication DTC is output .
Result
B -- GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
9. INSPECT BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
(a) Inspect the back door courtesy switch Back Door Courtesy Switch.
NG -- REPLACE BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
10. INSPECT BACK WINDOW LOCK (BACK DOOR WINDOW COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Inspect the back window lock Back Window Lock.
NG -- REPLACE BACK WINDOW LOCK Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the L2 back door courtesy switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the E7 main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
(e) Reconnect the back door courtesy switch connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK WINDOW LOCK - BACK DOOR ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the S6 back window lock connector.
(b) Disconnect the S5 back door ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the back door ECU connector.
(e) Reconnect the back window lock connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
13. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
(a) Temporarily replace the main body ECU with a new or normally functioning one.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
14. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE COURTESY SW)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List /
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

The display is as specified in the normal condition column.
