DOOR LOCK: TRANSMITTER BATTERY: REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER

(a) Remove the door control transmitter.





(1) Remove the screw and remove the transmitter housing cover.

NOTICE:
Do not pry out the transmitter housing cover forcibly.

HINT
Slide the transmitter housing cover with a finger as shown in the illustration, so that there is be a small gap, then remove the transmitter housing cover by lifting the hook through the gap.

(2) Remove the door control transmitter.





2. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY

(a) Using a coin or other flat object, pry open the transmitter cover.





(b) Remove the transmitter battery (lithium battery).





NOTICE:
* Do not push the terminals with your finger.
* Forcibly prying up the battery (lithium battery) to remove it will deform the terminals.
* Do not touch the battery with wet hands. Water may cause corrosion.
* Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter because handling the components may interfere with proper operation of the transmitter.

3. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY

(a) Install a new battery (lithium battery) with the positive (+) side up as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
* Be sure that the positive side and the negative side of the transmitter battery are matched up correctly.
* Be careful not to bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.
* Keep the transmitter case interior free of dust and oil.

(b) Install the transmitter cover.

4. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER

(a) Install the door control transmitter.





(b) Install the transmitter housing cover.





NOTICE:
If the screws are loose, it may cause faulty contact between the battery (lithium battery) and the terminals.
