Parking Assist Switch: Testing and Inspection

PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: BACK SONAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT BACK SONAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the resistance.





(1) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Standard resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the back sonar switch.

(b) Check the operation.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check that the indicator illuminates.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, check the back sonar switch bulb.

2. INSPECT BACK SONAR SWITCH BULB

(a) Check the resistance.





(1) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Standard resistance:

7 to 11 Ohms at 20°C (68°F)

If the result is not as specified, replace the back sonar switch bulb.
