DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU controls the rear washer motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (RR WSH)

(a) Remove the RR WSH fuse from the main body ECU.

(b) Measure the resistance.

Standard resistance:





(c) Reinstall the RR WSH fuse.

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the rear washer motor assembly connector.





(b) Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2.

(c) Check that the rear washer motor operates.

OK:

Rear washer motor operates.

(d) Reconnect the rear washer motor assembly connector.

NG -- REPLACE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR WASHER MOTOR - MAIN BODY ECU, BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the rear washer motor assembly connector.





(b) Disconnect the 1B main body ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance.

Standard resistance:





(d) Reconnect the rear washer motor assembly connector.

(e) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
