Removal

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SEAT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for Manual Seat)

CAUTION:
Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH (for Manual Seat) Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Manual Seat) Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Manual Seat) Removal

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Manual Seat) Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Manual Seat) Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat) Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Power Seat) Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Power Seat) Removal

11. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Power Seat) Removal

12. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Power Seat) Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat) Removal

14. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the "TORX" screw and seat position sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.

(c) Remove the seat position sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.
