Installation





DIFFERENTIAL: DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT

(a) Install the No. 1 rear differential support to the rear differential carrier assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 lock nuts.





Torque : 86 Nm (877 kgf-cm, 63 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY

(a) Jack up the rear differential carrier assembly and rear suspension member sub-assembly with a jack.





(b) Connect the No. 1 rear differential support to the rear suspension member sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 lock nuts.

Torque : 137 Nm (1400 kgf-cm, 101 ft-lbf)

(c) Install the rear differential carrier assembly to the rear suspension member sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 95 Nm (970 kgf-cm, 70 ft-lbf)

51. FULLY TIGHTEN PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY Installation

52. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL DRAIN PLUG

(a) Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), install the filler plug with a new gasket.





Torque : 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft-lbf)

53. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL

(a) Fill the rear differential carrier assembly with hypoid gear oil.

54. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL OIL Adjustments

55. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL FILLER PLUG

(a) Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), install the filler plug with a new gasket.





Torque : 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft-lbf)

56. INSPECT AND ADJUST TRANSFER OIL

57. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

58. INSPECT REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

59. CHECK FOR REAR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

60. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK Installation
