DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) receives switch signals from the power window master switch and driver side door key cylinder, and activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FUSE (DOOR1)
(a) Remove the DOOR1 fuse from the engine room relay block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FUSE (DOOR1)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DOOR LOCK OPERATION
Result:
A -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR KEY LINKED LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH)
B -- Continue to next step.
3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the tester on.
(d) Enter the following menus:
Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) Select Door Lock SW-Lock or Door Lock SW-Unlock in the Data List and read the tester display.
Main Body (Main Body ECU):
OK:
On the tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to the chart above.
NG -- INSPECT POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH
(a) Remove the power window master switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect the instrument panel junction block connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR KEY LINKED LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH)
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the tester on.
(d) Enter the following menus:
Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) Select Door Key SW-Lock or Door Key SW-Unlock in the Data List and read the tester display.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER SIDE)
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
7. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER SIDE)
(a) Remove the front door lock assembly LH Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER SIDE) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR KEY LINKED LOCK UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) and instrument panel junction block connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
