INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM) P3107-213

B -- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CLEAR DTC P3107-213

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

(d) Check if DTCs are output.

Result:





(e) Turn the ignition switch off.

B -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU Removal
A -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

(a) Check for intermittent problems Check For Intermittent Problems.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA

OK -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU Removal

5. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) P0340-886

NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR)

(a) Check the connections of the center airbag sensor assembly connectors.

The connectors are connected securely and there are no contact problems.

NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the D72 connector from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

(b) Disconnect the D30 connector from the center airbag sensor assembly.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NOTICE:
Turning the ignition switch to ON with the hybrid vehicle control ECU and center airbag sensor assembly connectors disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

(e) Turn the ignition switch off.

(f) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance (Check for Open):





Standard Resistance (Check for Short):





(g) Connect the center airbag sensor assembly connector.

(h) Connect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU

(a) Disconnect the D30 connector from the center airbag sensor assembly.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
