P3110-223 - IGCT Relay Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU monitors the IGCT MAIN relay and detects the following malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
If battery voltage is applied to terminal +B1 or +B2 of the hybrid vehicle control ECU, even though the ignition switch is off, the circuit is shorted to +B.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT RELAY (IGCT MAIN)

(a) Remove the IGCT MAIN relay from the engine room relay block No. 2.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:





(c) Install the IGCT MAIN relay.

NG -- REPLACE RELAY (IGCT MAIN)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK NO. 2)

(a) Remove the IGCT MAIN relay from the engine room relay block No. 2.

(b) Disconnect connectors A65 and A66 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NOTICE:
Turning the ignition switch to ON with the connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

(e) Turn the ignition switch off.

(f) Install the IGCT MAIN relay.

(g) Connect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU Removal
