2GR-FXE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new gasket to the intake air surge tank.

HINT
Align the protrusion of the gasket with the groove on the intake air surge tank.
(b) Install the throttle body with motor and wire harness bracket to the intake air surge tank with the 4 bolts.
Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the connector and wire harness clamp.
(d) Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses to the throttle body.
2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE
(a) Connect the air cleaner hose to the throttle body with motor with the hose clamp.
(b) Connect the ventilation hose.
(c) Insert the tab of the air cleaner into the hole of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

(d) Install the air cleaner with the 2 bolts.
Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
(e) Install the fuel vapor feed hose to the 2 hose clamps.
(f) Connect the mass air flow meter connector and wire harness clamp.
3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Coolant (for Engine)
4. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK Cooling System
5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
(a) Install the No. 1 air cleaner inlet with the bolt.
Torque : 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
(b) Connect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose to the clamp.
6. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET
(a) Install the No. 2 air cleaner inlet with the 2 bolts.
Torque : 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
7. INSTALL INTAKE AIR RESONATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the intake air resonator with the 2 bolts.
Torque : 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
(b) Connect the 3 water hose clamps to the intake air resonator.
8. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
9. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
10. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

11. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Coolant (for Engine)
13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
NOTICE:
Perform the following procedure after replacing the ECM, throttle body assembly or any throttle body components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body is cleaned.
(a) Disconnect the cable from negative (-) battery terminal for more than 60 seconds.
(b) Remove the EFI MAIN and ETCS fuses from the engine room relay block located inside the engine compartment for more than 60 seconds, and then reconnect the fuses and cable.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.
NOTICE:
If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above steps again.
(d) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs Hybrid Control System.
(e) Set the vehicle to the "Inspection Mode" Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
(f) Start the engine.
(g) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Engine Speed.
(h) Check that the MIL is not illuminated and that the idle speed is within the specified range when the A/C is switched off after the engine is warmed up.

* Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
* Make sure that the shift lever is in P.
