P313 HYBRID BATTERY CONTROL: SERVICE PLUG GRIP: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION
Hybrid Battery System
2. READ OUTPUT DTC
(a) Check for DTCs P0AA6-526.
NOTICE:
Check for DTCs and confirm that DTC P0AA6 (High voltage insulation is unusual) is not output before doing removal or installation inside the battery. If the DTC is output, perform troubleshooting first.
3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY Removal
5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
(a) Disengage the 5 clips and remove the door scuff plate.
7. REMOVE RECLINING HINGE COVER LH
(a) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the reclining hinge cover.
8. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP
CAUTION:
* Remove the service plug to interrupt a high voltage circuit at the time of the check.
* Keep the removed service plug in your pocket to prevent other technicians from accidentally reconnecting it while you are servicing the vehicle.
* All the high voltage wiring connectors are colored in orange.
(a) Wear insulated glove and remove the service plug grip, after sliding up the lever of the service plug grip.
CAUTION:
* Keep the removed service plug in your pocket to prevent other technicians from accidentally reconnecting it while you are servicing the vehicle.
* After removing the service plug grip, do not touch the high voltage connectors and terminals for 10 minutes.
NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not operate the ignition switch as it may damage the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
